5 Ways to Spend Family Day
Family Day is tomorrow! If you haven't made any plans yet, but want to have some fun spending the day with your family, we have some ideas for you!
1. Go Skating
Victoria Park will be having free outdoor skating! The rink is technically open at all times, but if you want to take advantage of the free skate rentals and hot chocolate, you'll have to go between 11:30 am and 2:30 pm, or 5-8:00 pm. The weather is looking warm so it will be a perfect day to spend outside!
2. Eat Ice Cream
If the warm weather has you in the summer-mood, head on down to Dairy Queen! Right now, their Peanut Buster Parfaits and Banana Splits are on sale for only $1.99!
3. Hit the Slopes
Head out to Mission Ridge and hit the slopes with your kids! Even if they don't know how to ski or snowboard, it's the perfect place to take a lesson, and a perfect little road trip for the entire family!
4. Waskimo Winter Festival
Waskimo Winter Festival is back in Regina! This festival will be a ton of fun, and will be the perfect way to occupy your entire day and make memories. You can visit their website for a full schedule, but just a sneak peak at some of the activities they have planned includes: ice sailing, snow cricket, shinny, outhouse races, sleigh rides, and dog shows. And the best part is that all outdoor activities are completely FREE!
5. Game Away
Spend the afternoon gaming with each other! If you like traditional style arcade games, head on down to the Wonderland Arcade on downtown Broad Street. It's only $5 an hour for unlimited play, and their snacks are super cheap too! If you want to experience something new, check out the Grid Virtual Reality Arcade! Strap on a headset, rent a room, and get fully emersed in the gaming experience!
